BOLO-NOODLE

History:  Not a recognized breed.  This is a cross breed between a registered Bolognese and registered Toy Poodle.  Has been around for 2 years.  We know.  We invented/established this cross breed and applied for recognition with the American Canine Hybrid Club (ACHC).  To our knowledge, Bolo-Noodles are offered exclusively at Jarbeth's Kennel.

Description:  Non-shedding cross breed.  Can be any color.  May have the single layer, straighter Bolognese coat or the thicker, double coat of the Poodle.

POODLE (Toy)
See video by AKC

History:  Utility Group.  Despite being widely accepted as a French breed, the development of the Poodle began in Germany.  The larger Poodles were used to pull carts and so became larger and stronger.  While in France they were used as companion dogs and the breed became smaller.  Smaller Poodles were renowned as circus dogs--being able to learn tricks with ease.

Varieties:  Standard (over 15 inches at the shoulder, nearing 40+ lbs.), Miniature (11-15 inches, weighing about 26-30 lbs) and Toy (see size described below).  All sizes are well balanced, smoothly muscled, elegant looking with a proud carriage.  Long chiseled foreface with long and fine heads.

Color variations are White, Cream, Brown, Apricot, Black, Blue and Silver--preferably all one color.  The curly dense coat is non shedding.  Their coat requires effort to be a show dog, but they do not have to be clipped for a pet.  You can put as much time in their coat care as required to keep them free of mattes if you desire.

Temperament:  They are gay spirited and good tempered.  Elegant and dignified.

Size:  Height is under 11 inches at the shoulder.  Weight is 14-16.5  lbs.  PLEASE NOTE: This is the standard for the Toy classification. Our puppies are smaller than the Toy, if there were a classification they might be called Tiny Toy.
