Welcome to our website! We know you want to see the puppies, but we'd really like for you to get to know us. We are a family operated business, this is our cottage industry. With our nine children, a whole mess of cats, a herd of chickens, a gaggle of Guinea hens, half a dozen horses, a few cows, and a flock of goats on our near 62 acre ranch, these puppies will be VERY well socialized. Here's proof. Just about every puppy that leaves here will be child proof, dog proof and cat proof. Our children have each chosen 1 or 2 breeds that they especially like. In most cases, we have only one male and a few females. We are still establishing our breeding stock. We fall in love with the puppies we produce long before we offer them for sale.
Our puppies get the personal touch from birth to shipment. Some of our litters have been born in our bed with children all around. Others have been born in one of our children's closet. We hate losing even one puppy and try to be right there to help. Some of our dams are new at this birthing thing or get tired of pushing and subsequently do not get the puppy out of the birth sack in time--but not on our watch. We do whatever the dam is unable to do: open birth sacks, suction lungs to clear the fluid, clamp umbilical cords--you might say we are puppy mid-wives. My wife has been known to get up every 2 hours at nights to hand feed litters if their mother's milk is bad or has not come in yet. Some litters have had to be hand fed until they were weaned. We do whatever it takes. We have to answer to our children if we don't. I have been out at the barn at 10:30 at night in the middle of winter giving mouth to mouth resuscitation to a still-born kid goat. Our puppies get the same hands on care. We don't have so many dogs that we can afford to lose or give up on even one puppy. Every life counts. The puppy that is struggling at birth might be the one you are looking for. Be
comforted to know that the puppy that you will come to love, we will have
loved first.
